About Me

Born and based in Sheffield, Nick Law is the Worship Co-ordinator for St Thomas Crookes.

Christus Victor demonstrates Nick’s songwriting talent and showcases worship songs that are fresh, contemporary and relevant in today’s society.

Nick’s debut ep, Heart on Fire, released in 2006 established his reputation as a skilled songwriter and musician. This continues with Christus Victor; many of the instruments on the album have been played, recorded and edited by Nick himself. Christus Victor finds him working once again with Andy Baker, the producer behind established artists like Philippa Hanna and The Gentlemen, and exciting new acts such as Roo Walker and GoldDigger.

A regular collaborator with various worship leaders and songwriters, Nick is a part of the worship team at the New Wine summer festivals and has worked closely with other reputable leaders such as Gareth Robinson, Nicole Brown, Becca Staniforth and Pete James. He has co-written several songs on the album; a process which he describes as both challenging and enjoyable.

As Worship Co-ordinator, Nick’s role at St Thomas Crookes involves raising worship leaders and developing the worship life and music ministry of the church. He is currently exploring ways of introducing new songs, investing in emerging songwriters and developing the youth band.

Nick’s passion is to write congregational worship songs that challenge musical boundaries, convey theological truth and connect with people’s hearts and lives. He endeavours to bring fresh expressions to eternal truths, in a way that will encourage and equip others in their walk with our amazing God.

Nick is married to Claire, and is the father of Esther Francis Law.
